Pragati ( Vatika) is located in Sushant Lok, behind Vatika business towers in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. There are 3 classrooms within the government provided building, and 2 classrooms in partially covered sheds outside, built by Pragati to accomodate the others. Among the other 2 rooms,one is occupied by the mandatory goverment teachers, another doubles as a computer room and a staff room for the Pragati staff and administrator. All classrooms are equipped with tables, chairs , black board and soft boards. There is open ground for the children to play around the school. We have separate toilets for boys and girls.

A small store houses essentials like books, bags, uniform, stationery etc for distribution. Small cupboards house the library books and art materials, all generously donated by individuals.
A kitchen supplies filtered water to all, tea to the staff and the occasional meal for the kids when required, as now the midday meal is centrally distributed by the government everyday.

This is a primary school from Nursery to class 5. The number of students per class ranges from 15 to 30. While some teachers are employed for the half school day, others come in a few hours to volunteer as teachers of specific subjects.
The administrator at Vatika premises is Ms. Asha Kochar.(President of Ex.Com. for 2014-2015).
There is a caretaker cum attendant, Mrs. Rubina, who resides with her family in the premises.

The company and it’s employees care deeply about Pragati. apart from the company sponsorship, the employees also contribute their time and money to Pragati. Colourful paintings on the walls was a recent venture in 2015 by some Cargill employees. A very colourful and fun filled Diwali mela was a grand event conducted by the company. Pragati is deeply indebted to Cargill for it’s continuous support.
Computer Lab
On Thursday, 17th of December 2015 a well equipped computer lab was inaugurated by Mr.Siraj Chaudhry, Chairman of Cargill (India) in Pragati Vatika branch. This lab has been completely sponsored by Cargill’s Asia-Pacific Regional Director Mr.Bram Klaeijsen as his retirement gift.
The lab is equipped with 15 computers refurbished by NASSCOM, one projector and screen and an invertor .It will be used to educate the students of class 4 and 5 from all three Pragati campuses. Pragati has hired a teacher to conduct classes 6 days a week. The lab has been operational since december 2015.
