Junior Sports Day
” Fun in the sun” was the theme for Pragati school’s annual sports day for the students from Nursery and Class 1. It was held on 15 February 2016 ,at the Max school branch.
The nursery kids participated in “Getting Ready for School” and a “Mask Relay” race, while Class 1 participated in “Bursting the Balloons”, “Lollipop Run” and “Hurdles”. Students cheered loudly when the teachers races commenced.
The day ended with students getting goodies like snacks ,juices and candies….. It was a fun filled day for all!!!
Grade 6 Student shares the Joy of Reading
On Thursday,4th of February,2016, Paramveer Chadha, a young and energetic 12 year old visited Pragati. This Grade 6 student from the Gurgaon based school Kunskapsskolan has been collecting good quality, English story books from family and condominium acquaintances so that he could donate them for the students at Pragati. So he came and read out stories to the students from pop up story books and kept them enthralled with the pictures hidden under the flaps. He took the conversation forward to hygiene, good habits, importance of reading and studying.
Needless to say, both the children and Paramveer enjoyed themselves.
British School Hosts Pragati Sports Day
On Saturday,30th of January,2016 the British School, Chanakyapuri,organised a Sports Day for Pragati.
Sixty students from Pragati participated. There were very interesting activities organised.The children had a great time and were thrilled to get the certificates,medals and goodie bags.
New Computer Lab Inauguration
On Thursday, 17th of December 2015 a well equipped computer lab was inaugurated by Mr.Siraj Chaudhry, Chairman of Cargill (India) in Pragati Vatika branch. This lab has been completely sponsored by Cargill’s Asia-Pacific Regional Director Mr.Bram Klaeijsen as his retirement gift.
The lab is equipped with 15 computers refurbished by NASSCOM, one projector and screen and an invertor .It will be used to educate the students of class 4 and 5 from all three Pragati campuses. Pragati has hired a teacher to conduct classes 6 days a week. The lab has been operational since december 2015.
