Dance drama Performance

The Dance Drama – Ekalavya that 27 Max students performed at d Kingdom of Dreams
for Renew Power’s Annual day on Feb 10th, 2017 was a grand success and was much appreciated by all.

Annual Day

The 12th annual day at Pragati was celebrated on the 3rd and 4th of Feb, 2017. Each child performed on the stage and together they put up a great show which was much appreciated by the parents as well as the guests.
Our Chief Guest Mr. Vinay Pratap Singh (ADC – Gurgaon) addressed the children and explained to them the importance of education and hard work and the role of teachers in shaping their lives.
The ex students who have passed their boards with flying colours were also felicitated on this momentous occasion.

Visit to the Book Fair

On 13 Jan 2017, Class V children from Pragati went to the book fair at Pragati maidan on receiving an invite from the National book trust. The children saw a play and recited poems written by them and a skit using mime was enacted . The children were asked to draw n write on a topic. NBT would select good ones and may print them in their books.
No fun outing is complete without good food and the children were treated to burgers, juice, cake, biscuits and other goodies.

Student interaction

Thursday, 22nd of December,2016, was a super fun day for the children at Arcade thanks to the students and teachers from Amity Global School, Gurgaon! They brought in the Christmas spirit by singing carols with the children , playing fun games and distributing Santa caps, chocolates and some yummy cookies made by the students of AGS!!

Renew Power Workshop

A group of volunteers from ReNew Power Ventures Pvt Ltd visited Pragati on Friday, 16th of December 2016,and conducted a workshop on Alternative Sources of Energy. They spoke to the children about wind energy and solar energy.

The workshop was very informative. It was held at the Vatika building. After the workshop they distributed snack boxes to all the students who participated .

In addition to this, as part of their “Give Warmth” project they gave blankets to the students in all the three buildings of Pragati.

Picnic

The children of Nursery, Class 1 and 2 were taken for a picnic to Tara X farms on 14th of December 2016. They enjoyed various games, climbed the tree house, jumped on the trampoline, played with farm animals and enjoyed yummy treats in the winter sunshine.
And last but not the least Santa came with goodies for all the kids!!
What a truly delightful day at Pragati!! A big thank you to all the sponsors specially to Anjana Dhoot for inviting us to the farm!

Drawing Competition

A drawing competition was organised at all three branches of Pragati by the NGO Hope Initiative as a part of Global hand wash week on Oct 28.

The theme of this competition was how to keep our environment clean and safe.

Student Volunteer Interaction

Paramveer Chadha, is now becoming a regular at Pragati Arcade. This young man, who is a Grade 7 student at Kunskapsskolan School, Gurgaon tries to take out time from his busy school schedule as and when he can, to interact with the students at Pragati. This October 2016, he explained the Water cycle and the Life cycle of a butterfly to the Class 3 students at Arcade, with the help of an interesting PPT. He also showed them an animated version of the story Little Red Riding Hood. The children had great fun interacting with him.

Story telling session

Class 1 and 2 were in for a surprise, when Ms.Sana  from ” Ek Sunahri duniya” came for a storytelling session to Max Pragati in October 2016..
She narrated the story of Gajpati Kulpati, and the kids had a lot of fun and were left absolutely spellbound!
