More good news for us at Pragati ! Our alumni have done us proud once again ! This year some more students have successfully finished their 12th std exams. We heartily congratulate Vijay Mandla, Raju Sheik, Najlima Khatun, Varsha Kumari, Prartna das, Akbar Ali and Sanjeev Nayak. We had felicitated these students on our annual day, on completion of their 10th std board exams.We hope they continue their journey in achieving their dreams. We look forward to having them in this year’s annual day celebrations to encourage our young Pragati students through their example.
PVR Nest, the CSR arm of PVR Ltd has been conducting a Road safety Programme , called “Steering to Safety“. Pragati Arcade was one of the thirty schools which was covered by them under this programme. On Wednesday , 6th of April,2016, three volunteers from PVR Nest exposed the children at Pragati Arcade to road safety measures through flash cards, questionnaires and stories.
As part of the life skills programme which SNS Foundation, Gurgaon had conducted at Pragati, on Wednesday, 30th March 2016,they showed a film explaining the sensitive topic “Good Touch Bad Touch” called “Chhuppi Kholo”.
Johnson Matthey India Pvt Ltd had sponsored the construction of partitions between the outdoor classrooms at Pragati Max. The same was inaugurated by their Managing Director Mr. Alok Khetan, on Tuesday,29th of March, 2016. After the inauguration they conducted a quiz for all the students and distributed lunch boxes.
On Monday, 28th of March.2016. Federal Mogul, one of Pragati’s main supporters currently, along with Paras hospitals, organised a health camp at Pragati Max for the students as well as their parents. It was a great success. About 115 check ups were done including students and their parents. The team of doctors consisted of a Dentist, a Pediatrician and a GP. Adults were checked for BP and Blood sugar.
On 12thof February,2016, ReNew Power, who has been a supporter of Pragati since last year celebrated their Annual day at Hotel Leela, Gurgaon. They invited some of the Pragati students to perform during the same. It was a great opportunity for our students to display their Kathak skills, which they have been learning for the last 8 months.
